Praises

This past Monday, Audrey had quite a long day of appointments down at Children's. She started with scans, a check up, and finally her eyelash removal. Overall the day was smooth and Audrey did great with everything! The eyelashes that were hitting her eye were removed and the hope is that this procedure will eliminate eye irritation. So far, we have seen positive changes and little to no eye irritation.

Audrey's scans revealed no cancer! This is a huge praise. We praise God for these results and are so thankful for His presence, and how His word has been such a gift. Thank you to all of you who read these posts and continue to pray over Audrey.

We know our Joy comes from the Lord. This life brings many frustrations and unanswered questions, but our joy doesn't depend on that. It is truly our hope for what is yet to come. Eternal life in heaven and we can rest in God's promise.

" he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit" -Titus 3:5

Also, the dental specialist Audrey is now seeing was able to make a palatal obturator. So we will see how that goes...we will continue to pray over and seek wisdom on what is best to help with Audrey's mouth issues.

Jesus remains the same 💛

On June 17th, we learned that the cancer Audrey has been battling for 5 years remains, this is after 2 years of chemo, 2 courses of radiation and local surgeries to remove it.  At this point her team has said there are no curative options. Chemotherapy and radiation could possibly slow the process down, but would likely pose more issues than help. Another extensive surgery could also slow down the process, but would only further complicate Audrey's eye and nose issues. We have decided to let Audrey enjoy life without intense medical intervention. We have had some tough decisions these last few weeks, and have cried tears, but have also been at peace with the fact Audrey's faith in Christ is strong. She has even spoken about heaven and our perfect bodies 💛 Audrey has been full of energy, playing, eating well and enjoying life as an 8 year old. While we don't know exactly what the future holds or the timeline, we will rest in the fact that Jesus is the same yesterday, today ...

Psalm 23

The  Lord  is my shepherd; I shall not want.   He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.     He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness f or his name's sake.- Psalm 23:1-3 The Lord continues to work in our family, encouraging us to focus on the day, the day that he has made and we can rejoice in that. He continues to prove his faithfulness, and even in a difficult season, he continues to provide; let us not confuse this by the world's standards, but by Lord's blessing of love, by disciplining our minds to focus faith.  Audrey is doing exceptionally well despite her diagnosis. Each day she is filled with happiness and an eagerness to do well in school. Audrey is looking forward to celebrating her 9th birthday and is planning what she'd like her special day to look like. We have met with the pediatric palliative care team and Audrey made a positive connection with the nurse. We ...

Psalm 91:4

Audrey continues to do well. She loves school, takes daily hikes in the woods, sleeps and plays with her kitten, Coco and spends a good amount of time playing with her siblings. We can see Audrey's growth- her mind, her interests, her zest for life. Each week she is excited to learn her Bible verses and remains diligent in her school work. This is such a praise that she is independent in this way. Audrey had her 6th nasal endoscopy mid February. This past procedure went very well, minimal blood loss and therefore, Audrey was able to come home the same day! Being able to come home the same day was truly a gift. We know the future is unknown, all we can do is focus on the day-each day the Lord gives to us-we can rejoice and be glad in it. Disciplining our minds and understanding, knowing that the work and trials we endure now, will help shape us and prepare us for eternity with Jesus- it is by grace we have been saved through faith. Set your hearts and minds on what Jesus has accompl...
