Decisions and Peace


Audrey had another follow up ENT appointment this morning. Her doctor said everything looks good and is continuing to heal. He will continue to monitor in the coming months to make sure everything is heading in the right direction. There is a small space on her palate that is continuing to heal up. We are thankful for Audrey's recovery, which is a huge praise.

As for radiation, we are going to pursue that route. We will know more in the coming weeks, but it looks like the sooner we do it, the better. With that said, as stated previously, proton radiation will likely occur towards the end of January down at Cincinnati Children's.

Audrey is finishing up another week at school! We were able to see the Christmas lights at Kingwood this week, which is an annual family tradition for us, always fun. Audrey will have another round of chemo this Monday, December 20th and then will be off the following Monday.

Thank you again for praying. Audrey is a superstar and we are thankful that even in the midst of these things we can find peace because of Jesus.

Eternal Perspective

 We have officially returned from Michigan and we were incredibly thankful for this time together as a family. Overall Audrey had a good time. Audrey has dealt with some bleeding over the last few weeks around the tumor site. We have added some medical intervention, which seems to help. She is also dealing with some difficulty sleeping. Hospice care will now make weekly visits with the advancement of the tumor. Audrey's overall energy has decreased quite significantly over the last week. She still enjoys order and her schedule :)  Audrey is still pain free, so we can rejoice in that. She is eating and drinking normally, another praise. We are fixing are minds and hearts on Christ Jesus, remembering this is all very temporary. He is With You

 About a month has passed since our last update-Audrey continues to do well despite daily challenges. The cancer is continuing to spread, unfortunately this is something we can see visually. The tumor is now covering nearly her entire left eye and continues to grow outward. Audrey has not complained to this day. Her strength is inspiring to say the least.  Audrey will have another nasal endoscopy this upcoming Tuesday. We are thankful this will likely relieve her sinuses. We are still under the impression nothing can be done externally. Palliative care has visited to simply put eyes on Audrey. We have been incredibly thankful she continues to have no pain. We have even visited with a social worker who has helped make a meaningful craft to build memories. Audrey continues to play outside, make beautiful drawings, go on walks, rest with Coco, read books on the couch, play Zelda and Mario Cart with her sisters and the list goes on. SO thankful for that. We Walk By Faith

 Audrey is continuing to hold on with the strength that is left. She is tired, weak and sleeps most of the time. We can continue to praise God she has no pain. Audrey has her routine, though most of it consists of sleeping. She enjoys a little chocolate milk, a yogurt smoothie, some applesauce and maybe some small bites of food here and there. With that said, eating and drinking is becoming more difficult, but Audrey manages with some assistance and help.   Benjamin, Hannah and Emma continue to do well with this season we are in. They display loving hearts, asking if Audrey needs anything, praying for her and just sitting near her.
