Flexibility

This morning we were able to meet up with friends local to the area. It is always nice to see familiar faces! During our visit we learned the proton machine was down for the day, which has set Audrey's treatment back a day. Rather than leaving this Thursday morning, the plan is now to leave Friday after treatment.

We are praying that things go smoothly the rest of the week. We would love to get back for the weekend, however, we are trusting in God's timing.

We have been extremely grateful for the community here. We have made friends with some of the neighbors and the kids adore their friend nextdoor. We'd say then have a future penpal. A sweet neighbor even surprised us with a pizza delivery at dinnertime. It's the little things. We are simply reminded to find ways to show love to others.

We Walk By Faith

 Audrey is continuing to hold on with the strength that is left. She is tired, weak and sleeps most of the time. We can continue to praise God she has no pain. Audrey has her routine, though most of it consists of sleeping. She enjoys a little chocolate milk, a yogurt smoothie, some applesauce and maybe some small bites of food here and there. With that said, eating and drinking is becoming more difficult, but Audrey manages with some assistance and help.   Benjamin, Hannah and Emma continue to do well with this season we are in. Eternal Perspective

 We have officially returned from Michigan and we were incredibly thankful for this time together as a family. Overall Audrey had a good time. Audrey has dealt with some bleeding over the last few weeks around the tumor site. We have added some medical intervention, which seems to help. She is also dealing with some difficulty sleeping. Hospice care will now make weekly visits with the advancement of the tumor. Audrey's overall energy has decreased quite significantly over the last week. She still enjoys order and her schedule :)  Audrey is still pain free, so we can rejoice in that. She is eating and drinking normally, another praise. We are fixing are minds and hearts on Christ Jesus, remembering this is all very temporary. Death is something we will all experience and for those who know and love Jesus as the personal savior will experience the ultimate peace in eternity with Him.  It is important to us as followers of Christ that we highlight this truth because we have...

He is With You

 About a month has passed since our last update-Audrey continues to do well despite daily challenges. The cancer is continuing to spread, unfortunately this is something we can see visually. The tumor is now covering nearly her entire left eye and continues to grow outward. Audrey has not complained to this day. Her strength is inspiring to say the least.  Audrey will have another nasal endoscopy this upcoming Tuesday. We are thankful this will likely relieve her sinuses. We are still under the impression nothing can be done externally. Palliative care has visited to simply put eyes on Audrey. We have been incredibly thankful she continues to have no pain. We have even visited with a social worker who has helped make a meaningful craft to build memories. Audrey continues to play outside, make beautiful drawings, go on walks, rest with Coco, read books on the couch, play Zelda and Mario Cart with her sisters and the list goes on. SO thankful for that.
