Audrey continues to do well and is one happy gal. She has been enjoying swimming in our little pool, park play dates, picnics and really all of the fun summer has to offer. Recently at Audrey's last nasal endoscopy, the surgeon could see that the tumor is starting to take up more space. While some tumor could be removed to improve Audrey's breathing, some cannot due to it's proximity to her brain and eye. A MRI scan showed the growth of the tumor has become more significant. With that said, we spoke with Audrey's medical team and an aggressive surgery is not recommended when weighing the likelihood of resurrecting all of the cancer, and the extent of what would have to be removed would be quite aggressive. However, we will continue to pursue cleaning out her nasal passage as needed. Hospice will likely become a larger player in Audrey's care in the near future.
