Yesterday morning we were able to go down to a specialist to have a consult to see if there is an intervention to help close the hole in Audrey's mouth. Audrey had a template made of her upper palette to see if a removable piece, much like a retainer, can be made that will help close the hole. With the extensive surgeries Audrey has been through, placing a retainer in her mouth is difficult, due to the size of her mouth, teeth remaining and the fact that her mouth would continue to grow and new adjustments would need to be made as needed. So we have things to consider and pray over. Audrey will have some eyelashes removed this Monday. This should help some of the irriation in her left eye. On a lighter note, Audrey turned 7 this past weekend!
